Battery Powered Computers was established by Pete Dailhou in 1995 to market the StudentWriter.

Subsequently we have marketed the
DreamWriter, Psion, QuickPad, Calcuscribe, Laser PC and now the AlphaSmart range of notetakers. Notetakers such as the A3000, Neo and the Dana.

In 2008, AlphaSmart transitioned to become Renaissance Learning. The Neo 2 and the Dana are now supplied by
Renaissance Learning.
